Dave Martin

Principal, HMC Development

David Martin has been in the hotel development and management industry for over 18 years. David has led the site acquisition, entitlement and opening of 15 WoodSpring Suite hotels. Also, David has worked extensively with his current ownership groups on site identification/selection criteria. He regularly prepares/delivers proformas to his ownership groups for prospective locations. He currently is President of Hotel Management and Consulting, Inc. (“HMC”). HMC is the largest 3rd party management company for the WoodSpring Suites brand, currently managing 40 properties with many more under development. HMC’s Executive Team brings over 50 years of extended-stay experience in site acquisition, entitlement, and asset-management.

Chad Cook

Principal, HMC Development

Chad Cook, JD, MBA, is an attorney specializing in real estate development and corporate transactions. Mr. Cook’s practice includes handling commercial real estate purchases, sales, mortgages, leases, developments and land use projects for commercial developers, builders, investors, banks, mortgage lenders and property managers. His work includes handling all legal aspects of projects including hotels, apartment complexes, shopping centers, office buildings, condominiums, warehouse and industrial projects, retail stores, hospitals and senior living facilities. Mr. Cook has represented real estate development clients in various complex commercial, retail and office developments. Including his personal endeavors and his legal practice, Mr. Cook has over 20 years of experience in all aspects of real estate development.

Bay Rajabi

Construction Manager, HMC Development

Bay Rajabi has nearly thirty years’ experience in building and civil construction. Bay holds a B. S. in Environmental Design from the University of Houston College of Architecture. Bay’s knowledge and understanding of the construction industry plays a critical part in the success of his construction management endeavors. Bay started his career in 1994 with New Century Homes, Inc., a Houston based residential construction company specializing in the construction of multimillion dollar custom homes. In 2005, he joined Regent Communities, Inc, a Dallas based development company, managing over $30M in the construction of condominiums, single family homes, and hospitality projects. Intent on broadening his experience further, Bay joined Yantis Company of San Antonio in 2010 as a Senior Project Manager and one year later, Division Manager. At Yantis, Bay led the company’s Capital and Commercial Projects Division and was responsible for overseeing more than $40M in City of San Antonio capital improvement projects, including roadways, water/waste water utilities, bridges, and channels. In 2012, Bay turned his focus back to managing vertical construction projects. He has since managed over $2 3 5M in new construction hospitality projects, $27M in hospitality renovations /conversions, and other new construction projects including a casino and self storage buildings for numerous developers.
